Kartik Aaryan reprises his ‘Problem Kya Hai’ monologue as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 clocks 8 years: see inside | Hindi Movie News

Over the years, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise has become a cult classic. Though the main (male) leads changed in both the parts, Kartik Aaryan remained the common actor with his iconic ‘Problem Kya Hai’ monologue.

Yesterday, as the second part of the franchise clocked in eight years, the actor took to his IG handle to pen a heartfelt note on the love the movie received.

He wrote, “Problem Kya Hai?” I didn’t know that these three words will become synonymous with my name. This movie changed the course of my life, my career and put me on the track of an unforgettable journey into the celluloid. #PyaarKaPunchnama2, clocks in eight years today… always indebted to Luv Sir and the audience who gave unconditional love back then and still look forward to hearing the Monologue every time. Ending this gratitude-note with the three magical words Problem Kya hai?”

Apart from Kartik, Sunny Singh also shared an Instagram story. Sharing the poster, he wrote, “8 years of pyaar ka punchnama 2”

On the workfront Kartik Aaryan is glad that at this juncture of his career, he is getting a chance to explore a wide variety of subjects. After starting his career 12 years ago with a string of rom-coms, he has experimented with different genres, like the psychological thriller Freddy, horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and the thriller-drama Dhamaka. Recently while talking to Bombay Times, Kartik said that while he believes in doing films across genres, the one thing he wants from them is that they should be high on entertainment quotient. “My films will always be bound by the common thread of entertainment. The audience should expect various characters essayed by me, but whatever the genre, I won’t let go of the entertainment quotient in my films. So yes, I am excited about doing films in different genres as long as they are high on entertainment,” he says.

While on this path, he doesn’t forget the many years of struggle during the initial phase of his career. He shared, “There was a lot of struggle before I cracked my first film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Then there was a struggle when I didn’t get the recognition that I craved for, which I finally got after Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. So, from Pyaar Ka Punchnama to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, those seven years were the biggest struggle of my life,” he said.
Kartik will next be seen in Chandu Champion, an inspiring sports drama.
