New Delhi: CBIC chairman Sanjay Kumar Agarwal on Wednesday stated the expansion in October GST collections, which is the second highest ever, is on account of financial exercise and never as a result of present trigger notices to on-line gaming corporations.
Items and Providers Tax (GST) income in October grew 13.4% to over Rs 1.7 lakh crore.
GST assortment in October is the second highest ever since roll-out on July 1, 2017.In April, the mop-up was highest at Rs 1.87 lakh crore.
“The expansion in October GST collections was driving on financial exercise and never due to notices that was despatched (to on-line gaming corporations). Development has come purely on the financial exercise which has taken place within the nation,” Agarwal stated.
