MUMBAI: The RBI has permitted the appointment of C S Rajan, impartial director of Kotak Mahindra Financial institution, as its part-time chairman, the financial institution introduced on Wednesday. The approval is efficient from January 1, 2024, marking a two-year tenure.
The choice to nominate Rajan as the following part-time chairman follows the retirement of the outgoing chairman, Prakash Apte, whose time period concludes on December 31, 2023. Rajan has over 40 years of expertise in numerous authorities portfolios. The retired IAS officer assumed the function of impartial director on the financial institution’s board on October 22, 2022. Rajan takes cost at a time when the financial institution is seeing a whole change in prime administration.
