A member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards was shot lifeless within the nation’s restive southeastern province that borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, Iranian information company IRNA reported on Wednesday.
The assault, which happened in Sistan-Baluchestan province, comes a day after Iran struck two bases of the militant group Jaish ul-Adl in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province.
“Makes an attempt to establish and pursue the perpetrators are underway,” IRNA added.
Earlier within the day, Pakistan recalled its ambassador to Iran, claiming that Tehran violated its air house in a “blatant breach” of Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Denouncing Iran’s strikes as an “unlawful act”, Pakistan stated it lodged a robust protest with a senior official within the Iranian International Ministry in Tehran. Islamabad additionally summoned the Iranian Cost d’Affaires over the incident.
Jaish ul-Adl beforehand mounted assaults on Iranian safety forces within the border space with Pakistan, reported information company Reuters.
