KUFRI: The Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday (Jan 24) imposed a penalty of Rs 1.1 crore on Air India for alleged security violations on some lengthy vary terrain important routes. An AI pilot had given a “voluntary security report” to the regulator concerning a flight that was to be operated between India and the US. TOI had damaged this story on Nov 2, 2023.

The DGCA mentioned in a press release: “Pursuant to the receipt of a voluntary security report from an airline worker alleging security violations of flights operated by AI on sure lengthy vary terrain important routes, DGCA carried out a complete investigation into the alleged violations.
