FSFTI and PUCA Urge AICTE to Exempt BBA and BCA Colleges from Approval Requirements

CHANDIGARH: The Federation of Self Financing Technical Establishments (FSFTI) and Punjab Unaided Schools Affiliation (PUCA), have urged All India Council of Technical Training (AICTE), New Delhi, to exempt BBA and BCA faculties from acquiring AICTE approval.
Throughout a gathering with Rajive Kumar, member secretary of AICTE, Anshu Kataria, President of FSFTI (All India), and Amit Sharma, Senior Vice President of PUCA, emphasised that because the passing of the AICTE Act in 1987, BBA, BCA and BMS have by no means been included in its purview. The sudden inclusion of BBA and BCA faculties, after virtually 4 a long time, has come as a shock, they stated.
Kataria identified that these programs weren’t below AICTE’s jurisdiction. He highlighted the priority that new BBA and BCA faculties would now must pay a considerable Rs 20,000 approval/affiliation price per course.
