JP Dutta, Vidhu Vinod Chopra feted with prestigious Raj Kapoor Awards |

Veteran filmmaker JP Dutta, who has made movies akin to ‘Border’, ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Refugee’, was conferred with the distinguished Maharashtra Bhushan Raj Kapoor Award for his distinctive contributions to Indian cinema.
Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra acquired the distinguished Raj Kapoor Particular Contribution Award by Maharashtra Authorities’s Cultural Division on the Maharashtra Bhushan Awards for his contribution.
Dutta was feted by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The honour was given to him on the award ceremony held in Mumbai.The ‘Border’ director mentioned: “This recognition means all the things because it comes from the place I used to be born and introduced up in. This state, this metropolis is my residence and there may be nothing greater than to be honoured by your house. Additionally for a boy who began his profession from RK movie studios to be given an award named after Raj Kapoor is a sense I am unable to put into phrases.”
He then thanked Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis for honouring him.

Dutta is understood for making patriotic warfare movies. He made his debut in cinema with the 1985 motion movie ‘Ghulami’. He then went on to direct motion movies like ‘Yateem’, ‘Batwara’ and ‘Border’, for which he was awarded the Nationwide Award for Finest Characteristic Movie on Nationwide Integration.
