Veteran actor Anupam Kher paid tribute to the late ghazal maestro Pankaj Udhas in a heartfelt video, expressing profound sorrow over his passing.
With a heavy coronary heart, Anupam started his message by speaking concerning the nature of his inexplicable loss. “Pankaj Udhas ji, kyun, kyun, kyun chala jaate hain kuch log, kyun chod ke jaate hain kuch log,” Anupam questioned as he grappled with the sudden absence of cherished people from his lives.
Anupam reminisced about the great thing about reminiscences shared with Udhas and described every encounter as a treasure of heat and pleasure. “Roz nahi milna hota hai aise logon se, magar jab jab mile hote hain uski yaadein itni khoobsurat hoti hain,” he mirrored.

Portray a vivid image of Udhas’s character, Anupam praised him as a “great individual, soft-spoken, loving, all the time smiling,” whereas mentioning his distinctive expertise as a ghazal singer. Recalling moments of camaraderie and shared experiences, Anupam fondly recounted their travels collectively, together with memorable flights to locations like America and England.

Expressed his deep unhappiness over the void created by Udhas’ absence, Anupam mentioned, “Akele pan ka ehsaas aur zyada hota hai jab aapke contemporaries ya aapke jine aap pasand karte ho. Har ek ke jaane ka afsos hota hai, lekin kuch log, jaise kahi na kahi ek khala chhod jaate hain, ek vacancy chhod jaate hain, all of us will miss him.”

As Anupam bid farewell to the ghazal maestro, he urged Udhas to sing songs after assembly his late father Pushkar Nath Kher and late good friend Satish Kaushik. “Chaliye, upar jaake mehfil jamayiye, aap upar ke logon ko khush karenge. Mere father mile, ya Satish ji mile, to unko zaroor kuch sunana, my father may have a drink and I’m certain Satish may have a drink and you then sing one thing for them,” he proposed and concluded saying, “I’ll miss you, Pankaj ji I’ll miss you.”

Pankaj Udhas, a Padma Shri recipient, handed away on February 26 on the age of 72 because of extended sickness. He took his final breath round 11 am on the Breach Sweet hospital on Monday. His daughter broke the information of her father’s demise on Instagram. His household has knowledgeable that the final rites of the singer will likely be held on Tuesday from 3 to five pm on the Hindu Crematorium, Worli (Mumbai).
