Mike Clancy, Common Secretary of Prospect, which represents many employees in Parliament, stated after unions had backed measures put ahead this week to extend MPs’ security, it was “lamentable that MPs can’t present the identical help for the men and women with out whom their jobs could be inconceivable”.
