The Chinese language embassy in India issued an announcement over a media channel’s interview of Taiwan overseas minister JaushiehâJoseph Wu, alleging that this “offered platform for him to advocate ‘Taiwan independence'”. In response, Taipei stated that India and Taiwan are democracies with free and vibrant presses.
