China objects to Taiwan official’s interview to Indian media: ‘Unacceptable’

The Chinese language embassy in India issued an announcement over a media channel’s interview of Taiwan overseas minister Jaushieh Joseph Wu, alleging that this “offered platform for him to advocate ‘Taiwan independence'”. In response, Taipei stated that India and Taiwan are democracies with free and vibrant presses.
