Centre to supply inexpensive commodities in strife-hit Manipur: Amit Shah



NEW DELHI: House minister Amit Shah on Monday introduced the Centre’s determination to supply commodities at cheap costs to the widespread individuals of strife-hit Manipur via its Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar shops, beginning Tuesday.
“According to PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s dedication, the MHA is launching an initiative to supply commodities to the individuals of Manipur at cheap costs.Now the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandars will likely be open for widespread individuals from September 17, 2024,” Shah stated in a submit on ‘X’.
“Along with 21 present Bhandars, 16 new ones will likely be opened. Among the many 16 new centres, eight will likely be within the (Imphal) Valley, and the remaining eight within the hills,” he added.
Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB) shops are a welfare initiative launched by the ministry of dwelling affairs in 2006 to supply shopper items to personnel and kin of serving and retired members of the Central armed police forces, Central police organisations and state police forces, at charges cheaper than the open market.
There are 119 grasp bhandars as warehouses and greater than 1800 subsidiary bhandars as stores.
KPKP offers a variety and number of shopper items to its 35 lakh beneficiaries on the charges cheaper than the market.
