EY resigns as adviser to Byju’s IRP



BENGALURU: In a stunning flip of occasions, EY Restructuring has stepped down from its position as an advisor to Pankaj Srivastava, the NCLT-appointed inner decision skilled at troubled edtech agency Byju’s, in response to sources who spoke to TOI.
TOI has reviewed a doc containing the minutes of the primary Committee of Collectors (CoC) assembly, which mentions this sudden growth.
Srivastava is at present chargeable for inviting lenders, workers, distributors, and govt to assert unpaid dues. Representatives from the IRP, EY, and Byju’s didn’t reply to TOI’s queries until the time of going to press.
The information comes on the heels of BDO’s resignation as Byju’s auditor. MSKA Associates – a BDO Worldwide affiliate and Byju’s audit agency – resigned as auditors earlier this month. This marks the second consecutive auditor resignation from the corporate since June 2023, when Deloitte departed, citing governance issues.
