IIM Tiruchirappalli, Indore underneath fireplace as RTI information reveals huge emptiness of reserved class school positions

Knowledge shared lately by The All India OBC College students Affiliation (AIOBCSA) has put two prestigious Indian Institutes of Administration (IIMs) in a spot. The RTI information, disclosed by AIOBCSA, reveals that almost all reserved class positions stay vacant at IIM Indore and IIM Tiruchirappalli. In response to the RTI findings, the affiliation questioned theUnion Training Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, asking, “Why are these establishments not filling reserved positions?” The RTI was filed by Kiran Kumar Gowd, President of the All India OBC College students Affiliation.

What was the RTI about?

Kiran Kumar Gowd in his RTI requested three questions:

The information from IIM Tiruchirappalli reveals a major disparity within the filling of reserved class positions. Of the 94 whole sanctioned posts, almost half (48) stay unfilled. The SC, ST, OBC, and EWS classes are severely underrepresented.
In the meantime, all 40 Common class positions have been crammed. This stark distinction highlights the persistent underutilization of reserved positions, elevating considerations about institutional dedication to affirmative motion insurance policies and equal illustration.
