MUMBAI/PUNE: The Mumbai crime department has arrested a 29-year-old man from Kaithal in Haryana and three youths from Pune in reference to the continuing investigation into NCP politician Baba Siddique’s homicide on October 12. One other youth from Pune was detained and was being questioned, taking the entire arrests to 14.
The Haryana man, Amit Hisamsingh Kumar, allegedly gave shelter to absconding accused Zeeshan Akhtar, who’s suspected of taking part in a key position in hiring the killers, in addition to facilitated communication between him and the three alleged shooters.A police officer stated the three youths — Rupesh Rajendra Mohol (22) of Shivane and Karan Rahul Salve (19) and Shivam Arvind Kohad (20) of Uttamnagar — had been stated to be near Shubham Lonkar, the ‘recruit’ of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who had claimed accountability for the homicide on behalf of the gang, and are being investigated for his or her roles within the conspiracy. “All 4 youths did odd jobs in Pune metropolis.” Singh and one other suspected shooter, Dharmaraj Kashyap, had been caught close to the crime spot quickly after the homicide.
