749 Hindu youngsters enrolled in 30 Uttarakhand madrassas: Report | Dehradun Information

DEHRADUN: Taking cognisance of a report of Uttarakhand madrassa training board, the Nationwide Fee for Safety of Youngster Rights (NCPCR) issued a discover to the principal secretary of the minority welfare division and directed him to seem personally earlier than the fee on November 9.
Of the whole 7,339 college students enrolled in 30 board-affiliated madrassas, 749 are Hindu kids, as per the report.NCPCR has now requested minority welfare division to clarify “why these kids should not enrolled in faculties beneath the Proper to Schooling Act as madrassas don’t fall inside the definition of faculty beneath the Act.”
In its report, the state madrassa board stated all college students are being taught the NCERT syllabus. “About 131 Hindu kids are learning in Khedi Shikohpur, adopted by 112 in Tilakpur and 85 in Bhagwanpur of Haridwar district… All these kids are receiving training in madrassas with their mother and father’ consent,” the report added.
NCPCR chairman Priyank Kanungo on October 17 directed the board director to “present particulars of all government-aided seminaries the place Hindu kids are enrolled”. TNN
