Mumbai’s South Cyber Police have arrested a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan for allegedly threatening actor Salman Khan in a YouTube video.

Accused Recognized
The accused, Banwarlal Laturlal Gujar, is a resident of Boarda village within the Hindoli space of Rajasthan. Police recognized him after a video surfaced on a channel named ‘Are Chhodo Yar’ containing threats towards Khan.
Particulars of the risk
In keeping with a report by Mid-Day, sources allege that Gujar talked about the Bishnoi gang whereas making threats to kill Salman Khan within the video.
Police Response and Investigation
DCP Datta Nalawade of the South Cyber Police Station confirmed the arrest and the fees towards Gujar. Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) pertaining to prison intimidation (506 & 504) and abetment (34) had been invoked, together with Part 66(d) of the Data Know-how (IT) Act.
“Contemplating the seriousness of the case,” DCP Nalawade said, “a police crew was dispatched to Rajasthan for the investigation.” He added that the crew, with Gujar in custody, is predicted to reach in Mumbai by as we speak.
This arrest comes amidst heightened safety for Salman Khan following the firing incident outdoors his residence in April 2024. The investigation into this newest risk is ongoing.
