DUMKA: Unidentified miscreants blew up a stretch of the meter gauge railways (MGR) line in Sahibganj district of Jharkhand on Tuesday evening. The tracks are used to move coal from the Japanese Coalfields Restricted‘s Rajmahal coal challenge at in Godda with the NTPC’s Farakka-based thermal energy plant in West Bengal.
Sahibganj SP Amit Kumar Singh stated, “The incident occurred at pole quantity 40/1.A forensic staff reached the spot and picked up the damaged items of the tracks discovered round 15mt away and an electrical wire, apart from particles from the two-foot ditch brought on by the explosion,” including that no system has been recovered close to the location.
