In August, a report recommended the regulator had discovered “unsatisfactory practices” at some exchanges. Specifically, it acknowledged that “a number of the crypto companies are overly reliant on a handful of executives to supervise the custody of consumer property, whereas others aren’t correctly guarding towards cybercrime dangers.”
