J&K: Body of jawan abducted by terrorists found with 'gunshot wounds'

NEW DELHI: Safety forces in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Anantnag district have recovered the physique of lacking soldier of the territorial military, Hilal Ahmad Bhat.
The officers reported that Bhat’s physique, which had been riddled with bullets, was discovered within the Sanglan forest space of Utrasoo, Anantnag. The physique was transported to a hospital for essential medical procedures.
“The physique of the Territorial Military jawan kidnapped by terrorists within the Anantnag space has been recovered with gunshot wounds.The soldier had been reported lacking since yesterday and search operations had been on by the safety forces there,” information company ANI reported quoting sources.
Following Bhat’s disappearance on Tuesday from Shah, safety forces had launched an intensive search operation to find him.
The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Military shared on X, “Primarily based on intelligence enter, a joint counter terrorist operation was launched by #IndianArmy alongwith @JmuKmrPolice & different businesses in Kazwan Forest #Kokernag on 08 Oct 24. Operation continued in a single day as one soldier of Territorial Military was reported lacking.”
Two Territorial Military troopers had been allegedly kidnapped by terrorists within the forest space of Anantnag. Whereas one of many troopers managed to flee, the opposite remained lacking, prompting safety forces to launch a search operation within the space.
In a separate incident on October 5, the Indian Military reported that two terrorists had been neutralized and a major quantity of “warlike shops” had been seized following a joint anti-terrorist operation within the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, which started on October 4, was a collaborative effort between the Military, BSF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police within the Keran sector of Kupwara district.
The operation was initiated after safety personnel obtained particular data on October 3 in regards to the potential infiltration of terrorists by the Keran Sector.
