NEW DELHI: Milind Deora, Shiv Sena candidate from Mumbai’s Worli seat took a potshot at Aaditya Thackeray for “avoiding” his problem to debate on the way forward for the meeting constituency.
Forward of the polling in Maharashtra, Deora had invited Thackeray, who’s Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate and incumbent Worli MLA, for an open debate on points regarding Mumbai, Worli and Maharashtra.
Deora stated Thakeray mustn’t “keep away from” debate within the election if he claims himself to be pro-democracy.
“Just a few days in the past, I invited Aaditya Thackeray to debate the way forward for Worli, the way forward for Mumbai, and the way forward for Maharashtra. He claims to imagine in democracy and strengthening it. In the course of the Lok Sabha elections, he spoke concerning the significance of candidates participating in debates. Why is he avoiding a debate on this election? If he claims to be pro-democracy and pro-debates, why is he working away from one?” Deora advised information company ANI.
The Shiv Sena candidate, who’s combating underneath the Mahayuti alliance comprising the BJP and NCP, accused Thackeray’s social gathering of “distributing cash in change for votes”.
“We came upon that yesterday, his [Aaditya Thackeray’s] social gathering was distributing cash and putting in cameras in constructing societies to purchase votes. The Maharashtra meeting elections will probably be held on November 20 and votes are set to be counted on November 23.
