JHARSUGUDA: Odisha police have booked Congress ex-chief Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making anti-national statements through the inauguration of Congress’ new headquarters in Delhi on January 15.
Members of Jharsuguda Citizen Discussion board, together with main complainant Ram Hari Pujhari, together with members of BJP, RSS, Bajrang Dal, and BJP’s authorized cell, lodged an FIR on Friday evening in opposition to Rahul below BNS Sections 152 (endangering sovereignty, unity and integrity of India) and 197(1)(d) (making false assertion, jeopardising the sovereignty, integrity or safety of India)
“Rahul Gandhi persistently targets BJP and hyperlinks RSS with terrorist organisations with out proof.
We demand strict motion in opposition to himto stop him from making such pointless statements for political features,” stated Pujhari.
Native Congress functionary Amita Biswal defended Rahul, saying, “He merely stated that BJP is managed by a single organisation. This problem is being unnecessarily politicized. In a democracy, everybody has the fitting to precise their opinion”
