Bomb menace: American Airlines New York-Delhi flight diverted to Rome | India News

NEW DELHI: American Airlines New York JFK-Delhi nonstop (AA 292) diverted to Rome following a bomb menace for the flight. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner had taken off from JFK on Saturday (Feb 22) 8.14 pm and was over the Caspian Sea when it turned again in the direction of Europe.
In an announcement, the airline stated, “AA 292, operating from New York to Delhi, has been diverted to Rome due to a potential security threat onboard.We are working closely with local authorities and will provide updates as the situation develops. We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our passengers.”
