Centre ticks off Mizoram CM for Myanmar pact | India News

NEW DELHI: Following reviews that two Myanmarese insurgent teams signed a merger pact lately within the presence of Mizoram CM Lalduhoma, the Indian authorities stated Friday state govts aren’t presupposed to deal with overseas coverage. “We have seen some reports on the matter. Our position on the situation in Myanmar is well known. I would also like to reiterate that foreign policy issues do not lie within the remit of the state govts,” stated the MEA spokesperson.
Myanmar’s anti-junta teams from Chin state – the Chinland Council (CC) and the Interim Chin National Consultative Council – signed the merger settlement in Aizawl, in keeping with the reviews.
