
The CBSE Board introduced on Thursday, that Class 12 students unable to appear for Hindi board exam on March 15 on account of Holi, will get another opportunity.
Although Holi could be celebrated on Friday, March 14, in sure areas, the celebrations may spill over to the subsequent day. As a consequence, CBSE has determined to provide an opportunity to students to appear for the Hindi exam at a later date, making certain no pupil is deprived due to the festivities.
“Accordingly, in view of the constraints that some students could face, it has been determined that, whereas the Examination could be held on 15.03.2025, these students who discover it tough to appear in the identical could resolve not to appear on that day, i.e., 15.03.2025,” reads CBSE’s latest notice.
The Hindi Core (302)/Hindi Elective (002) exams for Class 12, for the CBSE Board are scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 15. However, due to the Holi celebrations which might continue till Saturday, the CBSE board has announced that it would provide students with another opportunity.
“…such students could be given an opportunity to appear together with these students for whom a particular examination is carried out as per the coverage of the Board, whereby a particular examination is carried out for students collaborating in National or International stage sports activities occasions,” added CBSE’s notice.
The CBSE board exams for class 12 will continue till April 2 and the class 10 exams till March 18.
Earlier, the CBSE had proposed conducting two board examinations for class 10 students for the tutorial yr starting from 2026. The proposed system retains the present exam construction intact whereas giving students a second probability to improve their scores. Students can select to take the second exam in any variety of topics they need.
