A mob attacked Savukku Shankar’s home.

CHENNAI: A mob in sanitary employees’ uniforms barged on Monday into the Chennai residence of YouTuber Savukku Shankar, dumping buckets of slush, filth, and human faeces into the rooms, kitchen, and corridor. The attack gave the impression to be in retaliation for his remarks about sanitation employees.
Shankar’s mom Kamala was alone at their residence when practically 20 individuals broke in via the rear door, ransacked the home, and allegedly threatened her with dire penalties if her son continued talking out. The males then grabbed her telephone, made a video name to Shankar, and hurled abuses earlier than fleeing. “If there is an issue with my son, then legal action should be taken,” Kamala added.

Police arrived after the attack however made no rapid arrests. Cops are scanning CCTVs to establish the culprits.
Shankar denied making any defamatory remarks towards sanitation employees. “I only highlighted that an MLA took the funds rightfully owed to them,” he stated. Shankar’s video of the attack has gone viral and fuelled public outrage, with strain mounting on the Tamil Nadu govt to deliver the assailants to justice.

AIADMK’s Edappadi Palaniswami termed the attack unacceptable. “Those believing in democracy can’t tolerate this. This happened under CM Stalin, who claims his govt follows the law,” he stated. BJP state chief Ok Annamalai accused DMK of silencing critics.
