China on Monday (April 7, 2025) accused the U.S. of unilateralism, protectionism and economic bullying with tariffs.

“Putting the U.S. first over international rules is a typical act of unilateralism, protectionism and economic bullying,” Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian informed reporters.

President Trump introduced sweeping tariffs final week and China and different governments retaliated shortly.

Mr. Lin stated the brand new tariffs harmed the soundness of world manufacturing and provide chain and critically impacted the world’s economic restoration.
