NEW DELHI: Two Pakistani terrorists had been killed in an ongoing counter-terror operation in the Chhatru area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, the Indian Army confirmed on Saturday.
“In the ongoing operations at Chhatru, Kishtwar, despite bad and inclement weather, two more Pakistani terrorists have been eliminated. A large quantity of war-like stores including one AK and one M4 rifle have been recovered,” the Army stated in a press release.
One of the militants was killed on Friday, whereas the second was neutralised throughout persevering with operations.
Security forces have intensified surveillance throughout the area. A day earlier, patrols had been expanded to cowl the Bhaderwah space of Doda district, as a part of broader efforts to observe terrorist motion throughout the hilly districts of the Jammu area.
Meanwhile, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) misplaced his life whereas the Indian Army foiled an infiltration try alongside the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor Sector, based on Army officers.
