UP cracks down on Nepal border encroachments

LUCKNOW: UP govt launched main anti-encroachment drives in districts bordering Nepal on Monday, clearing unlawful constructions in areas as much as 10 km from the border.
Bahraich DM Monica Rani mentioned 227 circumstances of encroachment have been recognized in Nanpara. Of these, two unlawful constructions have been demolished, clearing 91 websites. In Mihipurwa, 4 unlawful constructions have been demolished Monday & 12 Sunday, liberating 16 govt plots.
Shravasti administration sealed 12 unrecognised madrassas, DM Ajay Kumar Dwivedi mentioned. A mosque illegally constructed on govt land in Bhinga tehsil’s Roshangarh village was demolished.
