Sunrisers Hyderabad assistant coach Simon Helmot recommended Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten knock (94, 48b) and the batting unit usually, after his workforce’s 42-run win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru right here on Friday.

“Ishan Kishan played a very mature innings. He certainly held the innings together for us. Our batters assessed the wicket, and we felt it was a very nice wicket to bat on and that a large score was required. So, we maintained that aggressive approach, but it was still important to have a batter in at the very end to ensure that we did capitalise on those last few overs. So, as a batting unit, we maintained the course,” he mentioned.

As a bunch, we’ve not performed cricket in three weeks: Salt

On his workforce’s loss, RCB opener Phil Salt mentioned: “You don’t mind having this game not in the playoffs. You’d rather have that now than you would in the eliminator, let’s say. So, we’re going to get an opportunity to pick the bones out of it and have a look at things we did well and didn’t do so well, and then come back.”

Salt, who made a 32-ball 62 in RCB’s 232-run chase, expressed his reduction at having recovered from a fever and returned to play after a very long time.

“As a group, we’ve not played cricket until tonight in three weeks or so. And I don’t think I’ve played in a month, which is a long time. So, more than anything else, I’m just glad that I am healthy and feeling good, and going to play another game of cricket,” he mentioned.
