In a transfer that would open new doorways for younger footballers, the Muthoot Pappachan Centre of Excellence in Sports (MPCES) signed an MoU with Germany’s Borussia Dortmund (BVB) to launch a long-term, strategic youth growth programme in Kerala.
Thomas Muthoot, Director of Muthoot Pappachan Group, which runs the MPCES, and BVB Football Academy’s Managing Director Christian Diercks signed the MoU, which goals to nurture expertise, instil life expertise and open alternatives for hundreds of younger gamers.
“India holds immense untapped football potential,” stated Diercks. “Our visit to the MFA’s Malappuram facility laid the foundation for this partnership that will equip players with skills that can be used both on and off the field.”
The long-term partnership will present gamers and coaches with world-class coaching methodologies and in addition open potential pathways for Indian expertise to coach in Germany and be a part of BVB’s intensive community of academies internationally.
“This partnership is not just about developing players, it’s about shaping futures and awakening potential,” stated Thomas Muthoot.
Hannah Muthoot, MPG’s Director of Sports, stated: “We are not investing in a programme, we are investing in people. We aim to harness Kerala’s football passion to build character, bridge social divides and create leaders of tomorrow beyond the pitch”.
