NEW DELHI: A London-bound Air India plane carrying 242 individuals crashed in a residential space minutes after taking off from the Ahmedabad airport on Thursday afternoon. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner (AI171) was seen shedding altitude quickly earlier than crashing into Meghaninagar, near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, round 2 pm.
