Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned Friday (June 13, 2025) {that a} wave of Israeli strikes on Iran had been “very successful,” warning they had been solely the opening salvos in a broader marketing campaign in opposition to the Islamic Republic.

“We carried out a very successful opening strike, and with God’s help, we will achieve much more,” Netanyahu mentioned in a video assertion.

Iran state tv mentioned the Israeli strikes killed the Islamic republic’s highest-ranking navy officer, armed forces chief Mohammad Bagheri.

The strikes additionally killed Hossein Salami, the chief of Iran’s highly effective Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran’s Tasnim information company reported.

Earlier on Friday, Mr. Netanyahu had said that the marketing campaign in opposition to Iran would proceed for “many days”.
