Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh stated inclusive development is the key to India becoming a global energy.

Launching the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) in Nagaland’s Wokha district on Tuesday (June 17, 2025), he urged the native youth to discover technology-driven agriculture as a possible profession path.

The occasion, held on the multi-purpose corridor, marked the start of a 15-day consciousness marketing campaign about tribal welfare schemes, overlaying 53 villages in seven blocks of the district, in honour of tribal icon Birsa Munda.

Noting the transformation of the Northeast within the final decade below Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s management, Mr. Singh stated Nagaland is a key companion in India’s development.

He affirmed the federal government’s dedication to inclusive development and referred to as the “end of historical neglect one of India’s biggest achievements”.

He reiterated that with youth participation, know-how, and neighborhood collaboration, Nagaland and the remainder of the Northeast would grow to be essential to the nation’s rise as a global energy.

Mr. Singh stated Wokha was a “land of plenty”, pointing to the district’s wealthy biodiversity.

He burdened the formation of ladies’s self-help teams (SHGs) and warranted help for key native calls for, in accordance to an official assertion.

Mr. Singh stated the calls for for freeway upgrades and the proposal for a brand new meeting constructing within the State needs to be taken up with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).

At the programme, the Wokha Village Council urged the Minister to take steps to improve the Government High School to a better secondary faculty.

The Wokha Village Students’ Union raised issues with Mr. Singh about poor highway connectivity, lack of native larger training establishments, and excessive unemployment fee within the district.
