'Heat and anger’ gone out of UK-EU relations - Cameron

Lord Cameron stated he “purposely” didn’t communicate to European leaders when he stood down as UK prime minister.

He defined this was to not undermine the British negotiations with the EU, and so he couldn’t be seen a “again channel”.

The brand new overseas secretary was addressing friends in his first look earlier than the Home of Lords European Affairs Committee since he returned to frontline politics.

He stated the “warmth and anger” has gone from the UK-EU relationship, and it was now “way more practical and I feel it’s functioning effectively.”
