New reimbursement pointers
In keeping with an ET report, in a memo dated December 21, the ministry acknowledged that ministries or departments, together with monetary advisers, and subordinate or hooked up places of work, with approval from the Head of Division (not less than on the rank of Joint Secretary), can admit reimbursement claims for LTC journeys with out referring to the Division of Personnel and Coaching (DoPT), following these specified timelines:
- You may have as much as six months to say reimbursement if no advance is taken.
- If an advance is taken, you could have as much as three months to repay your complete advance quantity. It is essential to repay the overall quantity in a single lump sum, and curiosity will likely be charged on your complete advance from the withdrawal date to the compensation date.
Applicability of situations

Superseding earlier pointers

Flight ticket reserving by authorised journey brokers
The Workplace Memorandum from October 20, 2023, issued by the DoPT highlights the process for reserving flight tickets for LTC by authorised journey brokers. Balmer Lawrie & Firm Restricted (BLCL), Ashok Travels & Excursions (ATT), and Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Company Ltd. (IRCTC) are required to point out details about the flight with the bottom fare and flights with fares which might be solely 10% increased than the least expensive fare.
