Israel Hamas conflict: Israeli Military uncovers booby trapped tunnel in Gaza, claims it held hostages

The Israeli Military on Saturday discovered a kilometre-long, booby-trapped tunnel within the Gaza Strip, the place its troopers claimed Hamas saved as many as 20 hostages whom they’d kidnapped, following the October 7 assault.

Israeli Army spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated that the troopers discovered a holding space, 5 slim rooms behind steel bars, bogs, mattresses, and even drawings by a baby hostage who was freed throughout a seven-day truce in November, information company Reuters reported.

The Israeli Army launched photographs from the underground tunnel, with Hagari saying that the labyrinth was unearthed in the home of a Hamas member within the southern a part of Gaza’s Khan Younis – the town that has been a spotlight of Israel’s floor offensive in latest weeks.

“The troopers entered the tunnel the place they encountered terrorists, partaking in a battle that ended with the elimination of the terrorists,” Reuters quoted Hagari as saying.

No hostages have been discovered within the cramped cells of the tunnel.
