West Bengal School Holidays 2024: Bengal Government Declares Public Holidays on Polling Dates - Check When Your Schools Will Be Closed

In response to a report by the Press Belief of India (PTI), the West Bengal authorities has introduced localised public holidays within the respective constituency throughout seven-phased Lok Sabha polls, and meeting by-elections.
The report additional states that an official on Thursday acknowledged that every one the state-run authorities places of work, enterprise organisations, companies, boards, statutory and native our bodies, and academic establishments throughout the parliamentary constituencies and the meeting seats will stay closed on the respective dates of polling so that each worker can train his or her franchise.
The official urged, as reported by PTI, that the times earlier than the respective polling dates, referred to as dispatch dates, needs to be declared as native holidays for instructional establishments and state authorities places of work. These premises could be utilized for varied election-related functions akin to polling stations, sector places of work, and distribution-cum-receiving facilities.

The Election Fee of India has launched the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Voting will happen throughout seven phases this 12 months, with the primary section commencing on April 19, adopted by subsequent phases on April 26, Could 7, Could 13, Could 20, Could 25, and June 01, 2024. The counting of votes is scheduled for June 4.

In 2019, West Bengal noticed a head-to-head battle, with the Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee, securing victory in 22 out of the 42 seats, whereas the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) claimed 18 seats. The remaining two seats had been received by the Congress.
