Air India Express expands fleet to 100 planes; aims to operate 500 daily flights by March-end

Air India Express has expanded its fleet to 100 plane with the addition of a Boeing 737-8, which operated its inaugural flight on the Bengaluru-Hindon route, the airline introduced on Monday.
Fleet enlargement and community progress
Since its takeover by the Tata Group in January 2022, the airline has almost doubled its fleet, rising from 26 Boeing 737 NGs and 28 A320s to its present power of 100 plane. The newest addition options ‘Chittara’ tail artwork, impressed by Karnataka’s conventional mural portray.
With this enlargement, Air India Express is ready to operate over 500 daily flights by the tip of this month, overlaying 54 locations throughout India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Tapping into rising markets
Air India Express Managing Director Aloke Singh emphasised the airline’s strategic concentrate on tier 2 and tier 3 cities, which he referred to as the “emerging hotspots of the economy”.
“In just over three years since privatisation, we have merged the low-cost carrier (LCC) airlines, expanded our modern and fuel-efficient fleet, and deepened our presence in key international markets,” Singh said on the plane’s flag-off ceremony at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.
The airline not too long ago accomplished its integration with AIX Connect (previously AirAsia India), strengthening its place in India’s fast-growing aviation sector.
