NEW DELHI: A serious accident was reported in Ahmedabad after half of an Air India aircraft crashed onto a building. Visuals from the scene confirmed aircraft particles mendacity on the rooftop of a residential construction.The Air India flight, en path to London, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad. The aircraft was carrying over 240 passengers.

Thick plumes of smoke have been seen rising from the crash website. Firefighters and emergency response groups have reached the situation, and rescue efforts are underway.

Union house minister Amit Shah has spoken to Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel, the state’s house minister, and the Ahmedabad police commissioner relating to the incident.
