NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s Olympic javelin champion Arshad Nadeem’s Instagram account was blocked in India on Wednesday night, simply days after a terror assault in Pahalgam, Kashmir, that claimed the lives of 26 Indian vacationers.
Visitors to Arshad’s Instagram profile have been met with a clean web page.

“Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content,“ the message on the page read when opened Nadeem’s account.
However, Instagram accounts of several Pakistani cricketers — including Babar Azam, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi — remain accessible in India.

.

“Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice,” the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned in a submit on X (previously Twitter).
“Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger,” he had mentioned.
