Boeing shares decline 8% pre-market after Air India crash

Shares of North American airplane producer Boeing fell 8% in pre-market commerce on NASDAQ after an Air India plane crashed close to Gujarat’s Ahmedabad airport Thursday (June 12, 2025). The personal service knowledgeable that the London-bound Boeing 787-7 plane had 242 passengers and crew members mixed on board. At about 8:15 a.m. ET, the Virginia-headquartered producer’s scrips had been buying and selling 7.71% decrease at $197.50. Markets are to open at 9 a.m. ET (round 6:30 p.m. IST).

Thereafter, the ATC obtained no response to their calls. “Immediately after departure from Runway 23, the Aircraft fell on the ground outside the airport perimeter. Heavy black smoke was seen coming from the accident site,” the official added. 

The personal service has acknowledged that the plane was carrying 242 passengers and crew members mixed, together with 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, 1 Canadian nationwide and seven Portuguese nationals.
