Stefan Ivanov, a 52-year-old banker from Bulgaria, and his son Maxim, 21, celebrated their birthdays in August rowing throughout the Arctic Ocean along with his son to attraction for defense of endangered ocean species.

After 33 days, the boat crossed the Arctic Ocean on Sunday (September 8), hoping to say the file of being the primary rowing boat to have achieved the feat.

“We needed to be the primary rowing expedition throughout your entire Arctic Ocean and we began from Haugesund (Norway), which is south of the southern border of the ocean,” Stefan informed Reuters. “I feel we will declare the file.”

The footage from the crusing journey confirmed waves and heavy winds, with the little boat swinging within the ocean. Stefan spent 33 days on the boat, whereas Maxim, a Stanford College scholar, joined later after ending his internship in New York.

“It has been an enormous combat with (the) Arctic Ocean. It was not very collaborative, it was sending facet winds, headwinds currents pushing us by hook or by crook,” Stefan mentioned.

“Nearly seems like being in a washer for weeks.”

Stefan and Maxim started constructing their very own boat in 2019 to cross the ocean. They named it Neverest. “It’s a play of phrases ‘By no means relaxation till you attain Everest’,” Stefan mentioned.

In 2020 Maxim on the age of 16 grew to become the youngest rower to have crossed the Atlantic Ocean along with his father.

“It is a passion of ours, however we did not need to simply let or not it’s an finish to it itself.
