The fourth Reliance Football Young Champs (RFYC) Laupang League kicked off in Aizawl, with one of many brightest footballers from Mizoram, 18-12 months-previous Cindy Remruatpuii Colney, doing the honour on Saturday.

Cindy has already represented the nation within the beneath-17 and -20 competitions, and has additionally represented East Bengal within the Indian Women’s League.

Her presence was an inspiration for the younger gamers within the beneath-6 to -14 age group from the 4 districts of Aizawl, Champhai, Kolasib and Lunglei, who might be enjoying almost 2,600 matches in a span of 9 months.

The children league gives a complete platform for girls and boys, serving as a catalyst for group improvement in Mizoram.

A consistent, well-structured league gives kids a competitive yet safe environment, helping them develop confidence, discipline and a lifelong love for football,” mentioned the National crew’s Mizo star, and a member of Mumbai City FC, Lallianzuala Chhangte, on the launch.

With further groups and restructured format, the league has been expanded, with a provision for a much bigger finale on the inter-district stage.
