NEW DELHI: Nasa on Sunday launched a putting set of nighttime photos captured from the International Space Station (ISS), together with a fascinating {photograph} of India alongside few different elements of the world.
The image, shared on the space company’s official account on X, showcases the subcontinent illuminated by a dense net of metropolis lights, glowing vividly underneath a starlit sky. The remaining images within the sequence embody a view of the cloud-covered Midwest United States, the coastal and inland geography of Southeast Asia, and a glowing snapshot of Canada at night time, framed by a faint inexperienced aurora and the curvature of the Earth.
The photos have been posted as half of a four-photo sequence that includes completely different areas of the world. with the caption- “When you can see the stars above, the city lights below, and the atmospheric glow blanketing Earth’s horizon. Pic 1) Midwest United States Pic 2) India Pic 3) Southeast Asia Pic 4) Canada.”
The publish rapidly garnered consideration on social media, with customers praising the sweetness of the image. “Simply stunning. We live on one amazing rock!” replied a X consumer. Another consumer introduced the eye to the destruction people trigger saying, “And all we seem to want to do is destroy everything and anything living on that beautiful sphere.” Many others jumped on the publish to share their appreciation and thanked Nasa for sharing them.
The ISS, which orbits Earth at an altitude of 370-460 kilometres, repeatedly captures and shares such imagery. Another pretty current image of India that garnered consideration was shared by Nasa astronaut Donald Pettit of the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela, additionally captured from the International Space Station (ISS).
