India has voiced remorse over the Ukraine battle’s “collateral consequences”, including costs of fuel, saying international locations of the Global South have been left to fend for themselves, as Delhi underscored that diplomatic efforts maintain the promise to finish the warfare and produce lasting peace.

From our perspective, it is critical that their voices are heard, and their legitimate concerns duly addressed”.

Underscoring that the wholehearted participation and dedication of all stakeholders is vital for lasting peace, India informed the UN General Assembly that it welcomes the “recent positive developments” on this route.

Mr. Harish mentioned Delhi endorsed final month’s summit assembly in Alaska between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and voiced appreciation for the progress made on the summit.

“We also note the subsequent diplomatic efforts by the U.S. president in engaging with the Ukrainian President and European leaders in Washington” Mr. Harish mentioned.

“We believe all these diplomatic efforts hold the promise of bringing to an end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and opening up prospects for a lasting peace,” he added. Mr. Harish mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained in contact with Mr. Putin, Mr. Zelensky, and the European management on the evolving scenario.

Underlining that an early finish to the Ukraine battle was in everybody’s curiosity, Mr. Harish referred to Mr. Modi’s message that “this is not an era of war” and emphasised that Delhi stands able to assist diplomatic efforts for an early finish to the battle.
