Earthquake of magnitude 6.3 strikes Western Brazil

An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 on the Richter Scale struck Western Brazil on Saturday (native time), the German Analysis Middle for Geosciences (GFZ) stated.

The quake was at a depth of 592 kilometres (368 miles), GFZ stated.
