Encounter under way in J&K's Udhampur; 2-3 terrorists trapped

NEW DELHI: An encounter between safety forces and suspected terrorists is at the moment under way in Marta village of the Ramnagar space in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district. The gunfight started on Wednesday throughout a joint search operation.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, the gunfight broke out after a joint search operation was launched by Jammu and Kashmir Police and different safety companies. During the operation, contact was established with the hiding terrorists, triggering a fierce trade of fireplace.

“Two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped at the encounter site. Firing is ongoing,” DIG Bhat advised ANI information company.
