The Pakistan cricket crew’s downfall in recent times is a subject that continues to ask theories and reasoning from all corners of the globe. The Mohammad Rizwan-led facet didn’t win a single recreation within the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 regardless of being the hosts of the match, crashing out within the group stage. The extent of Pakistan’s hole efficiency was such that Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar mentioned that even India’s B crew may be capable of beat them. However, former Pakistan coach Jason Gillespie, who was sacked earlier than the Champions Torphy, is not on board with Gavaskar’s rehtoric.
Gillespie referred to as Gavaskar’s evaluation ‘absolute nonsense’, whereas urging the Pakistan crew to stay to the best gamers and provides them time to take the crew ahead.
“I don’t buy this rhetoric. I saw some comments from Sunil Gavaskar about the Indian B team or Indian C team would beat the Pakistan top team. That’s nonsense. Absolute nonsense. If Pakistan pick and stick with the right players and give them time to shine and, time to learn and develop their games, they can beat anyone. I’ve got no doubt about that,” mentioned Gillespie.

Gavaskar had siat that he’s positive that India’s B crew will be capable of beat Pakistan comfortably, although that may not be true for India’s C crew.
“I think a B team (from India) certainly (can give Pakistan a run for their money). C team, I am not too sure. But a B team will be very, very hard to beat for Pakistan in their current form,” Gavaskar had mentioned in a chat on Sports Today.
The Pakistan cricket crew has undergone loads of modifications over the past couple of years, starting from captaincy, choice panel, and even the board. A couple of extra modifications are anticipated, as a part of a knee-jerk response that’s anticipated after the crew didn’t qualify for the Champions Trophy semi-finals.
