NEW DELHI: The ministry of exterior affairs on Tuesday referred to as for exercising “restraint” in the continuing GenZ protests in Nepal. It issued an advisory for Indians dwelling there and suggested them to “exercise caution and adhere to the steps and guidelines issued by the Nepali authorities.““We have also taken note that authorities have imposed curfew in Kathmandu and several other cities of Nepal. Indian nationals in Nepal are advised to exercise caution and adhere to the steps and guidelines issued by the Nepali authorities,” MEA mentioned in a press release.
“As a close friend and neighbour, we hope that all concerned will excercise restraint and address any issues through peaceful means and dialogue,” it mentioned.“We are closely monitoring the developments in Nepal since yesterday and are deeply saddened by the loss of many young lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with families of deceased. We also wish speedy recovery for those who were injured,” it added.This comes because the protests in opposition to the Nepal authorities resumed even after it lifted social media ban. Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli has ensured an investigation into the lethal protests that left not less than 18 useless and 250 injured.
