Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2: Empuraanhas gotten greater with the addition of Game of Thrones actor Jerome Flynn to its stellar forged. A sequel to the 2019 blockbuster, the highly-anticipated Malayalam film stars Mohanlal in the lead position.
Apart from that includes in Game of Thrones (2011-2019), Flynn has acted as Paddy Garvey of the King’s Fusiliers in the ITV collection Soldier Soldier. “I can’t quite remember how I got into this project, but I am so glad I did. It was a completely different experience from what I am used to. To be part of the Mollywood culture of things, to get a taste of that, was really special,” Flynn instructed in a video message.

“India is a precious part of my journey. I spent several years here (India) in my late 20s and early 30s, mostly for spiritual reasons. The whole experience of staying in India changed my life forever. So, doing this film felt like coming home. Everybody on the set was really sweet,” he added.
Flynn mentioned he can’t give away an excessive amount of about his character. “He plays an important role in Khureshi’s (Mohanlal) journey. I really hope you enjoy my character and like the film.”
The makers launched the movie’s teaser on January 27, 2025. The teaser begins in a ghost city in Northern Iraq referred to as Qarqosh. We hear Sachin Khedekar’s PK Ramdas telling Manju Warrier’s Priyadarshini, “If ever there comes a day, when you feel everything around you is falling apart, and if I am not alive then, there will be only one person you can turn to for help: Stephen.”
